Welcome Back!
Welcome back Energy fans. Can you believe that the season almost upon us? It seems like just yesterday that Courtney Sims was making his whirlwind tour of call ups, and Othyus Jeffers was raising the D-League Rookie of the Year trophy above his head at Wells Fargo Arena.
This season is extremely exciting from a number of standpoints. As you probably heard, the Energy are playing 75% of our home games on the weekend this year!! We also have a number of promotional nights already planned that are sure to catch your attention (including a night where we are wearing really odd uniforms….but all for a great cause).
Ok, so here is what is next. On Thursday, November 5th, we will be hosting our annual D-League Draft Party. If you have been there in the past, you know how much fun it is! Our fans get together with staff, coaches and even some returning players to make our draft picks. Our coaches and staff are actually making the picks LIVE from the party site! Fans can learn about the team, interact with other fans and get the season tipped off. Also this year, the draft will air live on NBATV. More details to follow.
It also appears that we will have at least a couple of returning players from last year. While I can’t tell you who yet, I’m confident that our fans will be happy!
